ロー・スクール留学
 受験料 (Application Fee)
受験料は$70前後で払い戻しはされない。受験料の支払いは、クレジット･カード、銀行小切手、送金小切手、郵便小為替、トラベラー･チェックなどスクールにより指定があるので注意すること。なお、支払い先（payable to ...)が違うとスクールが現金化できないので特に注意が必要。例えば、Harvardの場合はHarvard UniversityではなくHarvard Law School宛。UC, Berkeleyの場合はUC, Regents宛など。
- Harvard
- Application Fee. An application fee of US$70, in the form of a money order or a check drawn on a bank with a U.S. branch indicated on the check and made out to “Harvard Law School,” must accompany each application.
- Columbia
- You must submit an application fee of U.S. $70 with your application. This fee is non-refundable and will not be credited against tuition if you enroll. The fee must be paid in U.S. dollars, and may be paid by credit card (MasterCard or Visa only), a check drawn on a bank located in the U.S., traveler’s checks, or a bank or postal money order.
- New York
- Application fee: $75. We prefer that the application fee be paid online using either an American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit card. However, if you are unable to pay your application fee online, you may mail your fee with the Payment Identification Form (accessible from the online application)
using an international money order, or check drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to New York University in U.S. dollars. Do not send cash or traveler’s checks.
- UC, Berkeley
- Each application must be accompanied by the nonrefundable application fee of $75 ( U.S.). If you are submitting your application electronically, you may pay the application fee by credit card via LSAC. Otherwise, p ayment must be a U.S. bank check or international money order made payable to “UC Regents” . The applicant’s name must be written on the check to ensure that it will be properly credited to the correct application. Applicants submitting their applications electronically must print and sign the Certification Letter indicating the appropriate method of payment.
出願願書(Application Forms)
氏名、旧姓、郵送先現住所、自宅電話番号、勤務先電話番号、ファックス番号、個人用E-mail、社用E-mail、帰省先住所、性別、社会保障番号、LSAC登録番号、 生年月日、出生地、学歴、職歴、受賞歴、活動歴、著作歴、逮捕歴など一連の質問に答える出願願書を提出する。
現在は印刷物の形式の出願願書は少ない。郵送してもらうことも可能ではある。手書きで記入することに抵抗がある場合はタイプライターで作成するが、タイプライターそのものが身近にないのが現状である。
印刷物形式の出願願書は、故に、各校のHPにアップしてあるPDF形式（下記参照）のものをダウンロードして印刷する場合が多い。印刷する用紙はA-4サイズではなくLetterサイズを使用するように指定するスクールもあるので注意。
PDFファイルには氏名や住所が入力できる形式と入力できない形式があり、かつ、前者の入力できる形式のものでもDataを印刷できるが保存ができない（もしくはできる）など複数の形式の出願願書PDFファイルが混在していることにも注意。
印刷物形式に代わって最近採用されているのがオンライン形式の出願方法である。MBAで始まった出願形式であるが、現在では、ロー・スクールも含め多用されている。オンラインの出願は、原則として、印刷物とほぼ同様の質問があり、必要事項を埋めて行くので難しいものではない。New Yorkのようにオンラインでの出願しか認めていないスクールもある。以下、出願に関する指示例。

- All applicants are strongly encouraged to apply on-line. While submitting a paper application will not affect an applicant's admissions decision, it may significantly delay the processing of the application and the timing of the decision. Applicants who complete the paper forms should download them from this page and type or print as clearly as possible in the spaces provided. Early Review Program applicants must apply on-line. We will not accept paper applications for the Early Review Program.

- 1) Strongly Preferred Approach: Applying Online
- The Law Center strongly encourages applicants to apply online. Because information contained in online applications will be electronically transferred to the Graduate Admissions Office's computer database, online applications will be processed more rapidly than those submitted by non-electronic means, as long as all required supporting materials have also been submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office. Applicants may save their online applications until they are ready to submit them. Once the application is complete, hit the "Submit" button, which sends the application to the Graduate Admissions Office electronically. A notice will appear indicating receipt of the application.
- 2) Hard Copy Method
- You may also download the application and supplementary forms, fill them out, and then fax or mail them to us, or you may request that we mail the forms to you.

- Applicants to the LL.M. program in either Singapore or New York City, applicants to the E-LL.M. program, and applicants to the J.S.D. program must use the NYU School of Law Graduate Online Application (application fee: $75), and must follow the directions in the Admissions Information and Application Instructions.
参考のためにColumbiaとGeorgetownとHarvadのPDF形式の入学願書を以下ようにアップするが、前者2校のPDFは入力できないが、Harvardは入力できることが判る。さらに、出願願書だけではなく推薦状の用紙(Letter of Recommendation)や日本の出身大学などに成績証明書の発行を依頼する書式(Transcript Request Form)なども一緒になっていることも判る。

なお、ロー・スクールマニュアルには前年度の主要校のPDF願書はほぼ全校収録してあり、入力できないPDF形式の願書を入力できる形式に変換する方法も記載してある。
オンライン出願作成例
 オンラインでアカウントを作成し、必要事項を入力して、入力した事項をチェックするなど一連の手順を網羅した情報もマニュアルのCD-ROMに収録してある。
