MS in Real Estate
MBA in Real Estate Major
Columbia
- Applicants may hold deGRE®Testes in a range of fields. While academic preparation in development-related disciplines such as economics, business, law, engineering, historic preservation, architecture, construction, and urban planning is highly desirable, it is not essential for admission to the program.
New York
- Applicants should have more than two years of work experience in this field, but can come from a variety of professional backgrounds, such as financial services, economics, law, and architecture.
MIT
- The admissions committee seeks a diverse group of students who possess undergraduate or graduate deGRE®Testes in one of the disciplines that have traditionally provided a basis for work in real estate (for example, engineering, law, architecture, planning, economics, or business), coupled with substantial work experience in some area of the industry. The average age of class members is around 30 years.
- Applicants are required to have relevant work experience before applying, preferably a minimum of 3 years full time experience. This requirement can be satisfied in any number of ways. Prior to enrolling in the program, students have been employed as brokers, construction managers, planners, architects, commercial loan officers, consultants, financial analysts, and engineers.
- Knowledge of microeconomics and basic accounting principles at the college level is required. A student who is otherwise qualified but deficient in either of these areas will be admitted provisionally and required to satisfy the prerequisite before enrolling. Proficiency with micro- computers is assumed.

TOEFL®Test
GRE®TestはGeneral TestだけでSubject Testを要求するスクールはない。詳細は不動産学の教材として使用しているCD-ROMを参照。
Columbia
- Students are required to take the Aptitude Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE®Test) if their undergraduate deGRE®Teste was awarded within three years of application to the Real Estate Program.
New York
- All applicants who have completed their undergraduate deGRE®Teste in the past two years must submit a standardized graduate test score: GRE®Test or GMAT. The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request a standardized test score from all applicants.
MIT
- All applicants must submit the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) scores. An official report of the test results should be sent directly to MIT from the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ. The MIT/CRE code number for reporting the GMAT score is X5X-W6-19. January is the last month for taking the GMAT in order to have the scores available for the admissions committee deliberations the following month. The committee will accept a GMAT test result issued within the last five years. The committee cannot accept a GRE®Test score in place of a GMAT.
- Foreign students must submit a score from either IELTS (our preferred option) or TOEFL®Test. Test scores must be from within the past two years.
